Did you watch Dr Oz?
The Dr. Oz show is jam packed with great information; each time I watch his show, I walk away with a wealth of knowledge and new things to try. Recently, I watched the episode, ” Three Tests Every Woman Needs To Take.” Dr. Oz advised that:
  • Every woman should have their cholesterol, blood sugar and blood pressure checked. Have you had yours checked? Ideally, your cholesterol should be under 200, your blood sugar should be 7-100 and the ideal reading for your blood pressure should be 115/75.
  • If your blood pressure is high, try adding garlic to your diet; this helps to reduce blood pressure. You may also want to try CoQ10 ($15.93). CoQ10 helps to keep the your blood vessels healthy and therefore lowers your blood pressure
  • If your blood sugar is 100-125, you may be diabetic, whereas anything over 126 makes you diabetic. To lower your blood sugar, try adding magnesium to your diet.
  • To lower your cholesterol, try cooking with extra virgin coconut oil or have a tablespoon of extra virgin coconut oil once a day. Coconut oil helps to raise your good cholesterol and in turn gets rid of the bad cholesterol.
  • Out of energy? Try snacking on some cocoa coated roasted almonds or cinnamon roasted almonds. Other energy boosters: 100% whey protein, using citrus scented shampoos
  • Are you stressed? Chew spearmint or peppermint gum!
